We are constantly fed quick fixes on social media & it can be difficult to sieve the shit.
I know this, because I was you. I have been there.
I’ve personally been through it. I know the struggles & I know what works. I’ve worked with so many clients in the same situation - you are not alone. I want to save you time and educate you so that when things lose their way - you have the tools to get yourself back to where you want to be.
I now also have 2 young children of my own (both highly energetic boys!) and I've had to develop strategies around this new lifestyle in order to still get results. It IS different to before kids. But it can still be done!
I have tried and tested these weight loss strategies on myself personally after having each child and I have many mum clients who have successfully lost weight too using my Fit Mum Formula!
Years ago I tried every fad in the book - from endless cardio to super low calories - to juice diets, appetite suppressants & even fat burners. None of this stuff worked long-term. Who am I kidding - it didn’t even really work short term! But then I discovered a formula that worked & gave me the results I was after and now I want to transfer this knowledge to YOU in just a fraction of the time it took me.
Luckily for you, I have tried and tested it, I know what to do and I know what gets results.
I have been a trainer now for over 8 years but before that, I worked in the city for 10 years. I lived the office lifestyle and ate out a lot. It was fun at first but after a while, city working and living started to have a negative effect on my body and my mind. I often felt tired and my weight yo yo-ed.
I was so frustrated as I couldn’t understand what I was doing wrong! Looking back I now know my training wasn’t right for my goal and my nutrition was very poor - but I had no clue! I just chased quick fixes, and fad diets and tried to burn off food with cardio.
So I made the decision to take control & make a change
I started working with a personal trainer and this kicked off what would ultimately become one of the biggest transformations in my life.
Slowly slowly I started to learn, to try new things and implement changes. I discovered resistance training and gained knowledge about nutrition and in turn I saw many positive changes to my body and lifestyle. My mindset changed. I stepped out of my comfort zone and went against what many people told me I couldn’t or shouldn’t do. A lot of the time it was through trial and error that I learnt but once something worked I would build on it and make new habits.
It was such a revelation that I decided to do my own personal trainer qualification and in turn help transfer my gained knowledge to my clients.
As a trainer - I cut through industry BS and work closely with my clients so they learn for themselves and understand exactly why we're doing what we're doing! I am able to interpret & breakdown my client's thought processes and help keep them on the right track because I have been through it all myself. I’m realistic about what changes each client can implement into their lifestyle and help them find the best way to make things work for them.
My goal is that my clients gain the knowledge for themselves so that ultimately they won’t need me and make long lasting lifestyle changes. Permanent change is not rocket science - but it's not always easy! There is no magic secret but once you know - you have the knowledge forever.
